FC PLATINUM coach Lloyd Mutasa has insisted they have to once back immediately after a devastating loss to Hwange when they face wounded Dynamos in the Independence Trophy final on Friday.
Platinum drew 1-1 against Chiredzi FC in the season opener, but lost 3-2 to Hwange after leading by two goals at halftime.
“It was a case of failing to defend set pieces as we conceded two goals from corners, but we will be working on that weakness before the final.
“We have a lot of injuries and that affects the way we play but l hope all will be fine by Friday. This is a cup final and we need to be ready,” Mutasa said.
Regular skipper Daniel Veremu is still out while Mutasa is also sweating on the availability of goalkeeper Francis Tizayi after Talbert Shumba’s horrific show against Hwange.
On the other hand, Dynamos seem to have all sorts of issues after the one nil loss to ZPC Kariba.
Coach Callisto Pasuwa summoned his men to training on Monday, but was forced to abort as they had not paid $7,200 for ground rentals at Zimphos.
The club had paid $1,700 which was rejected, but eventually returned to training on Tuesday.
