DYNAMOS strikers Roderick Mutuma and Takesure Chinyama could face PSL sanctions for remonstrating with Bulawayo referee Philani Ncube at the weekend.
This follows their 2-1 defeat to Harare City in the final of the Chibuku Super Cup at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The Dynamos striking pair of Mutuma and Chinyama struggled to impose themselves during the cup final and ended up charging at the referee at the final whistle despite being restrained by team captain Ocean Mushure.
Police details and the club’s chief security officer, Cephas Museba, had to move in to calm the situation.
PSL chair Kenny Ndebele said Monday that they would comment upon receiving reports from match officials.
“We are still waiting for reports from the match officials. Once we get the report, we will issue a statement on the issue. So far we cannot comment,” said Ndebele.
Ncube was also subjected to missile throwing by a section of the Dynamos fans as he made his way to the dressing room at half-time.
The development could also see Dynamos being hauled before a PSL disciplinary committee penalty, to account for the behaviour of their supporters.Advertisement
