KALISTO Pasuwa will now only concentrate on the Warriors after Hwange coach Nation Dube was appointed substantive national Under-23 gaffer.
Pasuwa was doubling as both Warriors and Under-23 before being withdrawn from the latter team by Zifa to allow him to narrowly focus on the senior side.
Dube assisted Pasuwa in both teams together with Saul Chaminuka.
“Football mother body, Zifa has restructured the men Under-23 technical team to adhere to the association’s administrations restructuring process,” read an announcement on the Zifa website.
“The restructuring has seen Nation Dube assuming the head coach position while Calisto Pasuwa will now focus on the senior men national side.
“Godfrey Tamirepi and Jairos Tapera will deputise Dube as Under-23 assistant coaches. Elvis Shumba is the new team manager and Tembo Chumba retains the goalkeepers coach role.
“The kit manager will be announced in due course.”
Dube led the Under-23s at the African Games earlier this month.
“Zimbabwe’s campaign ended in the group stages after losing two games against Burkina Faso and Sudan similarly 1-0 before beating hosts Congo Brazzaville 1-0.
Pasuwa will start concentrating solely as Warriors coach in October against Lesotho in the Chan qualifiers final round.Advertisement
