ZIMBABWEAN striker Tendai ‘Fire’ Ndoro says he is ready for the South African Premier Soccer League challenge as he prepares to finally join Mpumalanga Black Aces.
The 25-year-old signed for Amazayoni from Chicken Inn at the end of August, but the club did not receive his international transfer clearance in time for the September 2 deadline.
The Warriors star was loaned back to Chicken Inn for the first half of the season, where he managed to win the Zimbabwe Premier League Golden Boot with 18 goals despite missing two months of the season.
Ndoro is also one of the Zimbabwe League’s 11 Soccer Stars of the Year, and is up for the top award to be announced on December 13.
“Firstly I want to thank God for making this possible for me, winning the Golden Boot here in Zimbabwe. It is a big achievement in itself and I feel very honoured,” Ndoro tells Aces’ official website.
“I am looking forward to joining my teammates at Black Aces very soon, hopefully next week. I’m ready for the South African Premier Soccer League challenge.
“It was a big but testing season for me with so many games played both locally and internationally.
“But thank God I managed to finish the season the way I started it and I hope and wish to carry the same mentality to Amazayoni.”
Ndoro will wear jersey number 37, although Aces still need to finalise some documentation with the PSL before he can play.
