MPUMALANGA Black Aces on-loan striker to Chicken Inn, Tendai Ndoro has vowed to surpass last season’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top goal scorer Nelson Mazivisa.
With three games to go before the season ends, Ndoro is just two goals shy of tallying Mazivisa’s 18 league goals last season.
Ndoro will re-join Black Aces next January after he was loaned to Chicken Inn following a delay in the process of his international transfer clearance to play for Aces.
“It is very much possible to score 18 goals. I am only left with two more and I will have to work hard to exceed last season’s total,” Ndoro said.
“I would be happy to sign off in style and leave everyone remembering me.
“Most importantly having my name in history books will put me amongst the greatest players in Zimbabwe. It is a target that I set for myself at the beginning of this season and it took a lot of work to reach where I am right now.”
Ndoro has also transformed his club form into the national team where he has become a vital cog in Ian Gorowa’s Warriors set up.
Buffaloes’ Steven Sibanda trails behind Ndoro with 12 goals.
Mazivisa last season inherited Bloemfontein Celtic striker Roderick Mutuma as the leading marksman after the latter finished the season with an unconvincing 14 goals in a term where strikers were goal-shy.Advertisement
