VICTORIA Falls will see the opening of a new luxury boutique hotel, the 19-suite Mbano Manor Hotel, from early 2019. The hotel will be situated adjacent to Zambezi National Park, at the edge of Victoria Falls village.

Mati Nyazema, a Zimbabwean-born global tourism businesswoman and the driving force behind Mbano Manor Hotel, explained she saw a great opportunity to leverage the newfound optimism enjoyed by Zimbabwe following recent positive political and economic developments.

She said: “The Mbano Manor Hotel’s vision is to cater to the top end of the international market with an upmarket and deluxe offering in Victoria Falls, in a forest setting only [about two-and-a-half miles] from the world-famous landmark.”

The Mbano Manor Hotel will boast 18 standard suites and one Presidential Villa nestled within the natural beauty of the surrounding teak forest. The design of the hotel is classic chic, melding old-world comfort with modern amenities.

Each standard suite features a lounge area, a spacious bedroom, a modern bathroom and a dressing room. A veranda offers guests the opportunity to relax outdoors while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. The suites are equipped with modern essentials, such as air conditioning, TV and WiFi connectivity.

The Presidential Villa is located in a private corner of the estate and boasts its own gardens, plunge pool and individual access. A king-size bedroom is complemented by a separate lounge, a boardroom area with separate access and an oversize bathroom area.

Rates for the hotel are approximately $950 per person, per night, sharing, for full board (including accommodations, meals, beverage and transfers).
