New Zim business network set for Saturday launch in Coventry

A NEW Zimbabwean business networking platform, Business Ideas Group, will be officially launched in Coventry, England, this Saturday, with the aim to connect people and access international business opportunities. 
The launch, which will be held at Ramada Hotel, will run under the theme, Zimbabwe: The business opportunities and challenges.

The B.I.G Network was formed by creative and action-motivated Zimbabwean entrepreneurs and business executives. 
One of the founders, Danai Gombera described B.I.G network as a, “a connected many, accessing opportunities normally available to a few”.
The drive has been a belief in actioning dreams and visions. The group’s members include Airline owners, Miners, Farmers, Company Directors, Inventors and international leaders. 
“B.I.G network aims to facilitate and formularise a Rail Consortium whose vision is to capitalise and purchase part of the National Railways of Zimbabwe network. The event presents an opportunity to register interest, discuss a strategy and inspire an actioning plan and timeline. 
“The programme will commence at 9am with registration and networking. This will be followed by speakers’ sessions, with hot drinks in between. At lunchtime, a three course meal will be served.
After lunch the programme will resume with more speakers and a discussion on the Rail consortium. Parking is free of charge, and overnight stay is available at significantly discounted rates,” the organisers said in a statement.
Eight speakers from different business sectors have been lined up to speak on business opportunities and challenges of doing business in Zimbabwe. 
“The selected speakers are experienced business leaders with knowledge and experience of the subject area. They will talk about different opportunistic areas, e g mining, property, healthcare supplies, manufacturing and government policy. The attendees will be engaged in question and answer sessions after each speaker,” the organisers said. 
Some of the speakers include Patrick Cheza, an entrepreneur with business interests in mining and runs a growing Care Agency in the UK. Cheza helped set up 30 companies for free, including a healthcare agency grossing over £1 million in 2014. Advertisement

Another speaker to look out for is Dr Brighton Chireka, a successful General Practiotioner in the UK and founder of Starkmeditrip, a medical company facilitating medical treatment from Zimbabwe to India. His success began with the launch of BeePee Medical, a UK based company which facilitated treatments and medicine for people in Zimbabwe. He is 2015 Zim Achievers Awards Community Champion and a Health columnist on Newzimbabwe.com.
Maison Table Masiwa, who will also make a presentation at the launch, owns and founded Victoria Falls Airline. He is passionate about the airline industry and the profitability and growth of this sector in Zimbabwe.
Other speakers include Danai Gombera, Florence Chaurura Mudonhi, Miles Mudzviti, Dr Sam Chindaro and Hillary Chindodo.
