CHAMPIONSHIP chasing Ngezi Platinum fell 1-0 away to premiership minnows Mutare City to allow log leaders FC Platinum to maintain their four-point gap at the top of the premiership in one of Sunday’s four Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounters which all ended with 1-0 score lines.

A goal after 13 minutes by Billy Vheremu was enough to see condemn Tonderayi Ndiraya’s men to defeat.

In other matches, nomadic forward Rodrick Mutuma was on target for Nichrut in a 1-0 win over his former club Yadah.

Mutuma netted from the spot after 20 minutes of play.

In Bulawayo, Chicken Inn fell 0-1 to giant killers ZPC Kariba, thanks to a Tawanda Nyamandwe strike after 30 minutes.

At Gibbo Stadium, home side Triangle beat Bulawayo City 1-0 after Collins Dhuwa gave the lowveld side the advantage after 50 minutes.

Traditional giants Dynamos and Highlanders did not take part in premiership clashes as they were involved in the President’s Inauguration clash in which the Harare side triumphed 2-0 to walk away $7,000 richer.
