Ngezi Platinum hit by injuries, suspensions

NGEZI Platinum will miss suspended defender Byron Madzokere in Saturday’s Chibuku Super Cup final against FC Platinum at Baobab Stadium.
The side is also fretting over the fitness of Kelvin Bulaji, Partson Jaure and Walter Mukanga.
Madzokere accumulated yellow cards, against Hwange and in the semifinal round against Harare, which effectively ruled him out of the final.
The former Dynamos trio of Jaure, Mukanga and Bulaji are also racing against fitness.
Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderayi Ndiraya, expressed concern over the state of his camp but, is hopeful the suspended players would recover on time.
“This is a very important match in our history and as a coach you would want all your boys to be around. But I am facing a situation here which I have to adapt to,” Ndiraya said.
“Byron is already out of this game suspended and as a defender it is not a good situation. The other three Partson, Bulaji and Walter have been doing some light training and one just hopes they would be fit for the match. We are monitoring them and hopefully they will be available after we conduct late fitness tests.”
If they win the Chibuku Cup, Ngezi are on the threshold of playing in next year’s Caf Confederations Cup, just in their second top-flight league season.Advertisement
