AN OK supermarket in Harare’s Queensdale suburb was Tuesday forced into temporary closure amid suspected coronavirus fears caused by a customer who had started coughing heavily before collapsing inside the shop.
“OK Queensdale just closed doors as suspected COVID-19 customer just collapsed and started coughing seriously with difficulty in breathing,” one person wrote on Twitter posting a picture of the closed shop.
Efforts to get comment from OK Zimbabwe management were fruitless.
However, according to sources, the supermarket was immediately fumigated.
NewZimbabwe.com could not ascertain what happened to the unidentified customer who had collapsed inside the supermarket.
However, Zimbabwe has been plunged into panic after it recorded three cases of coronavirus since last Friday.
One victim of the deadly virus, Zororo Makamba died at the Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital in Harare Monday and was buried on Tuesday.
