KALISTO Pasuwa bounced back as Warriors coach at the weekend after Zifa president Cuthbert Dube paid his outstanding salaries which had been the sticking point.
Dube revealed at the weekend that he had paid Pasuwa his dues and the coach was now expected to announce his squad for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea as negotiations for his contract begin.
Speaking during his first stop for the countrywide provincial tours, Dube said they paid Pasuwa on Friday evening.
“I can tell you we paid Pasuwa his money last night (Friday). This has paved way for negotiations on his contract.
The responsible people are looking into the contract issue but for now he is assembling a team for the match against Guinea,” said Dube.
Pasuwa’s manager Gibson Mahachi also confirmed Pasuwa had been paid his outstanding salaries and allowances.
“He has been paid what he was owed and he will soon be announcing his squad for the match against Guinea,” said Mahachi.
Pasuwa was owed a total of nearly $10 000 in salaries and allowances for the ten months he has been in charge of the national teams.Advertisement
