Pasuwa headed for Warriors job

NATIONAL under-23 coach Kallisto Pasuwa is set to be appointed the senior national team coach.
Following a triumphant All-Africa Games campaign that saw Zimbabwe beat Cameroon to qualify, Pasuwa has been considered as favourite to take the Warriors job.
The senior team is currently disbanded after failure to qualify for the 2015 Afcon last year.
According to sources at Zifa, Pasuwa is set to begin work at next month’s Cosafa Cup to be held in South Africa.
ZPC Kariba coach Saul Chaminuka will take over as Under-23 gaffer.
“Pasuwa held a lengthy meeting with Zifa president on Wednesday and they are still negotiating. He has been offered the job and he is interested,” the sources said.
“Zifa has faith in him. What is left is agreeing on terms. But Pasuwa knows he will not gain much in terms of money but he will gather a lot of experience. It is worth giving it a try.”
Pasuwa led his former job at Dynamos last December after guiding the Harare Giants to a fourth straight league title.Advertisement
