Pasuwa names strong squad for Guinea battle

WARRIORS coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a squad featuring mostly foreign-based players for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea at Rufaro Stadium on September 6.
The squad includes Sweden-based Nyasha Mushekwi and defender Costa Nhamoinesu who plays for Sparta Praha in the Czech Republic.
The Warriors gaffer has reshuffled the squad which played against the Flames of Malawi and won 2-1 away in Blantyre bringing several new faces.
Denmark-based Quincy Antipas who plays for Hobro Ik has been called up, including England based Macauley Bonnie who plays for Colchester United in England.
Mathew Rusike who now plays his club football in Portugal turning out for Halmstads BK is also in the squad.
Pretoria University goalkeeper Washington Arubi also bounces back after a lengthy absence. Leeds United’s Tatenda Darikwa who is also based in England is in the squad.
The Warriors coach also included home-based players with Chicken Inn keeper Elvin Chipezeze and Harare City’s Tatenda Munditi also getting a call ups.
Caps United defender Hardlife Zvirekwi, Justice Jangano and Teenage Hadebe are also in the team which will go into camp on Monday next week for preparations against Guinea.
Zimbabwe are joint leaders of Group L with Swaziland on three points and need a victory against the West Africans to maintain pole position in the group.
