Patoranking rocks Harare, pays tribute to Tuku

NIGERIAN reggae superstar, Patoranking paid tribute to late legendary icon, Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi at a concert this Friday.

Iconic Zimbabwean superstar and national hero Mtukudzi died in January this year.

Patoranking real name Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie jetted into the country this Friday to headline a show at the Harare International Conference Centre dubbed the Ikonic Chronicles .

Patoranking made a grand entrance as donning a custom made ‘Tuku’ shirt and a Zimbabwean flag ‘veil’.

With own live band, the ‘No kissing baby’ hitmaker gave music lovers a great performance of Tuku’s ‘Tozeza baba’ despite the unfamiliar Shona lyrical content.

Local music luminaries, Winky D, Jah Prayzah and Sulumani Chimbetu also honoured their late ‘mentor and father’ performing his songs.

The Nigerian star gave Zimbabweans a night to remember staging his songs; No kissing baby, Love you die, Confirm, Suh Different and many others.
