CAPS United players Ronald Pfumbidzai and Malawi’s Gerald Phiri are set to make their debuts this weekend.
The players were unable to play for their new clubs because of transfer ban imposed on Caps but that was lifted this week.
Pfumbidzai signed for Danish topflight league side Hobro Ik while Gerald Phiri signed for South Africa’s Bidvest Wits.
However, the pair had been unable to feature for their respective clubs because of player movement restrictions imposed on Caps United who owed a Harare businessman Nobert Chawira $55,000 he loaned to the club two years back.
The High Court had issued a provisional order barring Caps from executing any transfer of their players pending the determination of the dispute.
Zifa was also temporarily stopped from issuing clearance certificates to foreign clubs, leaving Pfumbidzai’ and Phiri’s transfer hanging in the balance.
Oscar Machapa, who also signed for Demorcatic Republic of Congo’s AS Vita, had also been unable to play because of the restrictions.
However, an out of court settled was reached this week leading to the players getting their clearance from Zifa.
Pfumbidzai is now set to play his first match for Hobro Ik against log leaders Midtjyland on Sunday while Phiri could feature for his new club against University of Pretoria at the weekend.
Hobro Ik are at the bottom of the league table having won just one match in their last five matches of the campaign.
