POKELLO Nare survived another eviction on Sunday as she reached the half-way point of Big Brother Africa.
Malawi’s Natasha and Ghana’s Selly were evicted during Sunday’s live show, but Pokello scrapped through, carried by Zimbabwean and South African fans.
Nigeria’s Melvin led in the popularity vote, bagging five countries (Angola, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and the Rest of Africa, including internet), followed by Kenya’s Annabel with three (Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya) while Zambia’s Cleo (Botswana and Zambia), Pokello (Zimbabwe and South Africa) and Natasha (Ethiopia and Malawi) were tied on two each.
The tie breaker rules were applied to Pokello, Natasha and Cleo and Natasha who had the lowest average percentage across all countries was shown the door.
With Sunday’s evictions, the Big Brother housemates were down to 14 – half the 28 who went into the show.
Zimbabwe’s other housemate, Hakeem, was evicted last week.
Pokello’s fans will be buoyed by her latest survival – her fourth since the show started, more than any other housemate.Advertisement
