RENOWNED author David Mungoshi Wednesday launched his new book, titled “Live like an artist”.
The book, his fourth in a career spanning decades, is a collection of English poems penned by the author over years.
It is an eclectic mix of Mungoshi’s thoughts, experiences throughout his 63 years of life and is a gamut of emotions he seeks to evoke in the reader.
In the book, published by Bhabhu Books, readers find a collection of 100 philosophical poems about death, adventure, love and comedy.
“In all the cases, I try to leave the reader with a few thoughts,” said the Bulawayo born artist during a brief launch ceremony at the National Arts Gallery in Harare.
“I have titled it ‘Live like an artist’ because my philosophy is that if everyone could be as patient as artists are most of the problems of the world would disappear.”
