Pressure mounts on Mandigora as Dynamos held at home

Dynamos 0-0 Hwange, Triangle 0-0 Highlanders
PRESSURE mounted on Dynamos coach David Mandigora on Sunday as the defending champions laboured to a 0-0 draw against Hwange at Rufaro Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.
Last week, the two teams played a 1-1 draw at the Colliery.
Mandigora gave returnee Rodreck Mutuma a place in the starting line-up upfront with Dominic Chungwa and new signing Richard Kawondera, but the goals would just not come.
What is more worrying for Dynamos is that they dropped one rung down to fourth place after How Mine edged Buffaloes 1-0 at Luveve.
It took 31 minutes for How Mine to break the deadlock against Buffaloes when Tapiwa Khumbuyani raced down the right and sent in a sweet cross into the box.
Timothy January met it first time and hit the nets despite attention from two Buffaloes defenders.
Dynamos have 28 points, two behind leaders Chicken Inn whose abandoned match against Dongo Sawmill is awaiting determination by a PSL Disciplinary Committee.
Chicken Inn were leading 1-0 at the time the match was called off after an hour and the leaders’ assistant coach Julius Ndlovu has been charged with violence while Dongo were charged for causing the abandonment of the match when they walked out in protest of Ndlovu’s actions.
Should the PSL DC maintain the result, which is likely, it means Chicken Inn will move to 33 points, five away from Dynamos.
At Gibbo, Triangle and Highlanders played out a goalless draw, a week after they had played 1-1 at Barbourfields in the reverse fixture.
Whawha and Dongo Sawmill drew 0-0 at Ascot.
