GOLDEN Arrows coach Clinton Larsen dedicated the 1-0 win over Jomo Cosmos to Kudakwashe Mahachi, whose four-year-old daughter passed away in Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
The Warriors international returned home on hearing news of the tragedy.
“That was very sad yesterday after training and Mahachi got news that his four-year-old daughter had passed away in Zimbabwe,” Larsen said after last night’s clash at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.
“So we released immediately to go home and he was due to start tonight so we also missed the very important cog in the team because he’s been in good form in the last three or four games.
“We really send our heartfelt condolences to Mahachi and his family for their loss. This game I said in my pre-match interview was playing in his honour.”Advertisement
