BIDVEST Wits coach Gavin Hunt has said he’s not interested in signing Dynamos captain Augustine Mbara.
Mbara was reported to be in South Africa last week for trials at Wits and even missed Dynamos’ 1-0 win over Chapungu in the Castle Lager Premiership at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on Saturday. He returned to Zimbabwe late on Saturday.
But reports on Monday, suggested that Mbara was not even at Wits with his manager Gibson Mahachi not available for comment.
“I don’t know what you are talking about my friend. I had no players on trial here, nothing!” Hunt said.
“I don’t know who they are exactly. I am not interested in signing any players. I have got my team and I am happy with all of my 28 odd players. Why would I want to go and sign more?”
Wits are home to former Warriors international leftback Onisimor Bhasera and have previously taken Harare City striker Francesco Zekumbawire on trial, but he failed to make the grade.
