SACKED Harare City coach Moses Chunga says he is leaving the club a proud man after leading the Sunshine City Boys to ninth position on the league table.
Chunga’s contract with the Sunshine City Boys comes to an end on December 31, this year and club secretary Mathew Marara said the City fathers will not be offering him an extension which effectively means they have sacked the coach.
But the outspoken coach denies he was given the boot.
“When you have a contract and it expires, can you say that person has been sacked?
“It’s the same with some of the players who have contracts which expire on December 31. Can we therefore say they have been fired.
“As far as I am concerned, I am leaving a happy man. I am leaving a vibrant team which can make an impact if well taken care of,” he said.
Chunga was appointed coach of the Harare City at the end of May, taking over from Taurai Mangwiro who was fired for failing to meet the set target.
