Shoulder to Shoulder With Palestine Appoints New Board

Shoulder to Shoulder with Palestine, an advocacy group committed to helping the people of Palestine in their fight against the Israeli apartheid regime has announced the appointment of a nine-member board tasked with spearheading the organisation’s operations.

In a press statement, the chairperson of the board, Henry Ngara said: “The board will serve a three-year term within which it will embark on a plethora of activities to attract local and international attention to the plight of the Palestinian people.”

Ngara will be deputised by Patience Rusare, an international award-winning journalist and Rotary Peace fellow with over 12 years of experience in communications, peacebuilding, project management, research, advocacy, mobilisation, and mediation support.

Other board members of the board include Yusufu Saidi (Treasury); Grace Hapazari (Secretary); Jula Jula (Director fundraising); Tinashe Ngirande (Director Programs); Brian Shonhiwa (Director M and E ); Tendai Makaripe (Director Communications) and Gibson Nyikadzino (Deputy Director Communications).

The advocacy group which is also a member of the Zimbabwe Palestinian Solidarity Council supports the Palestinian Statehood agenda and cause against Israeli occupation, racism, and unlawful detentions of Palestine.
