Silva claims player sabotage

DYNAMOS coach Paulo Jorge Silva has once again claimed he is being sabotaged by some of his players after his side lost 2-0 to FC Platinum in Monday’s Independence Cup third place playoff at Bulawayo’s White City Stadium.
Dynamos have failed to score and win in five straight competitive games under Silva.
The Portuguese gaffer has been apportioned clandestine behaviour from certain unnamed players as the cause of the team’s poor form.
Even members of his technical team have not been spared of the blame game and that has resulted in him firing goalkeepers coach Gift Muzadzi.
After Zambian forward Obrey Chirwa and Wellington Kamudyariwa condemned Dynamos on Sunday; Silva claimed that some players were working against the team.
“I am now tired of these mistakes and I know Tatenda Mukuruva could have done better to avoid that goal. Some players lack respect at all and I am not happy,” Silva said.
“I came with a game plan and that plan was to win this match but, you can see that I only had three players on the bench. We came as a team but some players decided to behave in a very unprofessional manner.
Dynamos is a very big club and it does not deserve this. I will have to take up the matter with the bosses.”
While Silva declined to name the players, he dropped strikers Roderick Mutuma and Richard Kawondera as well as midfielder Walter Mukanga who watched the match from the terraces.
Dynamos assistant coach Lloyd Mutasa also concurred with Silva on the sabotage assertions.Advertisement
