Simba Sithole resurfaces at Highlanders

FORMER How Mine forward Simba Sithole is training with Highlanders who are close to signing him.
The Warriors striker was recently offloaded by Ajax Cape Town and began training with the Bulawayo giants on Wednesday.
Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede said coach Kelvin Kaindu was keen to rope in the forward as the league campaign intensifies.
“The technical team approached us and expressed interest to have Simba in the team. I took the matter to my superiors and they are working on something,” said Gumede.
“We have to abide by the wishes of the technical team for the good of the club. For now he has not signed but it is something that is being worked on.”
The player is likely to be signed next week where he could make his debut against Buffaloes at home.
Sithole’s capture would boost coach Kaindu’s options upfront and the coach would have a positive headache in setting up the team’s attack.
Sithole would join a strikeforce with Charles Sibanda who has scored 12 goals.
He will also be partnering Njabulo Ncube who returned to the club in July from a six-month stint at FC Platinum.
Sithole was part of the Warriors squad at the Chan tournament early this year.
