ZIFA on Friday unveiled Spanish sports apparel manufacturer as the new national teams’ technical partners.
After Zifa entered into a brief partnership with Umbro last month, the deal did not further materialise and Joma are the new technical sponsors.
The Warriors will be the first ones to don Joma kits next month when they host Guinea in an Afcon qualifier.
Zifa president Cuthbert Dube said the new partnership is the beginning of attempts by the association to create a professional environment in Zimbabwean football.
“The arrival of the technical partner on board will eliminate issues of running around at the eleventh hour to source playing kits in an environment where financial resources are scarce,” said Dube.
“This is one of the routes the association will take in the next few months to bring professional changes in the way things are run at Zifa.
“The strategic plan is the oil that drives our football engine. Let us unite and implement it together.
“Let me plead with our friends from the fourth estate (media) to practise professionally and responsibly.
“Media and football are integral partners Zifa is not opposed to criticism but we are amenable to constructive criticism.”
Joma are technical sponsors of Caps United.
