Telecel offers best broadband, survey

TELECEL Zimbabwe has the fastest mobile broadband speed in the country, according to the results of a survey reported by Technology Zimbabwe (TechZim), a respected online technology news service.
The company is Zimbabwe’s second largest mobile telecoms company by subscribers and earnings.
According to the survey, Telecel’s broadband service is the fastest in the country and also the most reliable.
The survey rated Econet second, in terms of speed, followed by NetOne, then Africom, with Powertel the slowest but with a consistent speed of around 512 kbps.
In terms of reliability, the survey found Telecel to be the most reliable mobile broadband service provider, followed by Powertel. Econet was ranked third for reliability, followed by NetOne then Africom.

Econet broadband has the most unsteady connection. Results varied from 70 kbps to 2.5 mbps.
PowerTel is slow but steady at around 512 kbps.
