MOVEMENT for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Douglas Mwonzora has claimed the ownership of offices which were being occupied by the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Bulawayo.

The Bulawayo provincial offices, on Tuesday, were repainted blue, which is believed to be the new colour of a movement aligned to Nelson Chamisa.

Chamisa last week dumped CCC saying the party had been hijacked by the ruling party Zanu PF.

With Chamisa being mum on his political step several CCC officials are reportedly contemplating jumping ship to join him.

If the repaint of Bulawayo offices is anything to go by, the provincial leadership is aligning with Chamisa whose portrait has been put up.

Mwonzora claimed ownership of the Gertrude Mthombeni House accusing Chamisa’s supporters of “theft”.

“Dear Brothers and Sisters, please leave our Bulawayo offices immediately. What you are doing is theft in broad daylight,” said Mwonzora.

At the height of factionalism in the opposition,  Mwonzora and Chamisa, in 2021 were involved in a fierce battle over the ownership of the Harvest House in Harare which had to be settled by the High Court.
