THE great, the good and the simply fabulous of the Zimbabwean community in the UK turned up for a night of glomour and celebration at this year’s Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA).
The awards were held at London’s Cumberland Hotel on Saturday.
For the past seven years, the ZAA’s have celebrated the accomplishments of individuals and organisations in fields that include business, sport, entertainment, arts and culture.
This year’s edition, with the charismatic and multi-talented TV and radio personality Candice Mwakalyelye as host, lived up to its billing as a truly memorable night for the winners and the guests.
Performances by soulful jazz sensation Nandi and dancehall chanter Killer T ensured that the unknown was not missed as guitar player Alex Brown, son to the legendary Andy Brown, was nowhere to be seen.
