AN unlicenced Harare kombi driver is in trouble after he allegedly crashed into one of the cars in Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s motorcade.

Silent Hungwe, 30, was hauled before Harare magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa on allegations of contravening the Road Traffic Act.

He was remanded in custody to September 4 pending trial.

Prosecutor Linda Gadzikwa told court that the incident occurred on August 24 at corner Borrowdale Road and Kingsmead.

Hungwe is said to have accidentally hit one of the cars which was part of the vice president’s convoy.
