THE Warriors are favourites to reach a consecutive Cosafa Cup final when they meet surprise package Lesotho in a 2013 Cosafa Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
The defending champions won the Cosafa Cup in 2009, but scraped through into the next round of the 2013 tournament by winning a penalty shoot-out against Malawi. 
“There is pressure because every team wants to beat us,” conceded Warriors playmaker Ronald Chitiyo. “But I am confident we can successfully defend the title.”
Lesotho, backed by the dogged performances of forward Thapelo Tale, topped Group B and ousted fancied Botswana and Kenya in the process. 
The giant killers defeated a youthful Angola on penalties in order to set up the semi-final clash and will target another shock win against Zimbabwe.
Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi believes that his side can upset one of the tournament favourites and has full confidence in their ability.
“Their track record speaks volumes and we just have to keep our feet on the ground,” Notsi said.
“We don’t have to change anything we need to continue with the way we have been playing and see how it goes.”
The match will be followed by the second semi-final between South Africa and Zambia at the 45 000-seater Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.Advertisement
