THE Warriors will get their 2017 African Cup of Nations campaign underway with an away trip to Malawi during the weekend of 12-14 June this year.
The campaign will end with a tricky assignment in Conakry, Guinea next year according to the fixtures released by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).
Zimbabwe were drawn in Group L alongside Guinea, Malawi and Swaziland with the group winners making it to the finals to be held in Gabon and will be joined by two best runners up.
Swaziland will be hosting Guinea in their first game of the campaign in June this year.
Zimbabwe will then host Guinea in Harare during the first week of September this year while the Flames of Malawi will be at home against Swaziland the same weekend.
The Warriors will be involved in a double header against Swaziland in March in 2016. They will be on the road to Swaziland first during the weekend of 23-26 March next year with Guinea hosting Malawi the same weekend.
Zimbabwe will then host Swaziland in Harare a week later before winding up the campaign with a tricky trip to Conakry during the weekend of 2-4 September in 2016 while the Flames of Malawi will end their campaign at home against Swaziland.
Zimbabwe and Malawi have played 53 competitive matches between them since Independence in 1980 with Zimbabwe winning just 19, drawing 16 with Malawi winning 18.
Against Guinea, they have met nine times since May 2 in 1993 with Zimbabwe winning just two, drawing three with Guinea winning four.
The Warriors have played 12 games against Swaziland since September 5 1981, winning eight, drawing two and losing two.Advertisement
