WARRIORS defender Eric Chipeta says it will be a dream come true if he joins newly promoted South African Premiership side Chippa United.
The Hwange defender, one of the heroes of the Chan tournament in South Africa where Zimbabwe finished in the semi-finals, is reported to have signed for South African club Chippa United ahead of the start of the new season in August.
The tall defender who is part of the 22 man squad called up for the 2015 African Cup of Nations first round first leg qualifier against Tanzania is now expected to go for medicals.
“It will be a dream come true for me. It’s every player’s dream to play for a foreign club but right now I cannot say much because there is nothing concrete,” said Chipeta.
However, his rights are held by Sprouting Academy, whose director Calvin Nyazema is also the manager of the player.
“Everything has been sorted out. He is ready to go for medicals and Hwange are aware of this. Chippa have just been promoted into the Premiership now,” says Nyazema.Advertisement
