A VIDEO has emerged on social media suggesting Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs Minister may have tried to rig an election re-run in Chegutu East constituency.

Shamu was seeking the ruling party’s ticket for the constituency and looking to see off challengers Julius Murombedzi and Vengai Musengi.

The incident allegedly occurred at Uhuru-Nakazi centre in the constituency.

The authenticity of the recoding could not be verified but voices can be heard claiming that some 120 ballot papers with ticks against Shamu’s name had been found in a vehicle linked with the minister.

Shamu has yet to comment on the incident.
