Tsholotsho 1-1 Dynamos, Whawha 1-0 Highlanders
That is how Dynamos can best describe Stephen Alimenda’s own goal in the 90th minute that denied the champions a chance to close the gap on leaders Chicken Inn on Sunday.
Naturally, coach Tonderayi Ndiraya lamented the two dropped points.
“It is a crucial two points dropped in this match. We had the match all wrapped up but those are some of the mistakes that happen in a game football.
“The boys were a little tired, three games in a week and travelling was a bit too much and I think that played a huge part in the match,” Ndiraya said.
Tsholotsho coach Lizwe Sweswe felf it was a match they should have won.
“We dominated the match throughout and I think we should have won the game.

“’But it’s still a good point for us. In every match that we play we aim for three points and if we do get one, it is also good in our fight against relegation,” Sweswe said.
Takesure Chinyama sliced home after 10 minutes before Ocean Mushure received his marching orders in the second half for a second bookable offence.
Then in the 90th minute, with Dynamos leading, Tsholotsho skipper William Stima whipped in a cross from the right.
Alimenda, with an easy chance to clear, decided to go for the spectacular, going airborne in front of the cheering Dynamos fans.
But it was all silence as he rocketed his short to the near post beating his keeper Tatenda Mukuruva.
With that went away the chance to close the gap on leaders Chicken Inn (40 points) as Dynamos remained third on 36, the same as Triangle who drew 0-0 against How Mine earlier at the same venue.
At Ascot, Kennedy Bhuka scored in the 12th minute as Whawha stunned Highlanders 1-0.
Knox Mutizwa then missed a penalty in the 50th minute.
Now Bosso coach Bongani Mafu has to face an angry and mourning Bosso executive after his team’s second consecutive loss after they went down 1-2 to FC Platinum on Thursday.
Bosso lost their former player, coach and manager Willard Khumalo who died at the weekend.
