ZIMBABWE’s leading bricks manufacturer, Willdale Bricks, and leading roofing tiles supplier, Zimtile, have partnered with United Kingdom-based Vaka Building Materials & Hardware.
According to Vaka Building UK director, Tapiwa Kundoro, this is an opportunity for Zimbabweans in the diaspora to pay for their bricks and tiles where they are at the same price as they would pay back home.
Vaka Building Materials and Hardware was set up 2 years ago to help Zimbabweans build at home after many people had been let down by family or friends back home. Over the years, Vaka has helped over 3 000 people with building materials.
Willdale Chief Executive Officer Engineer Nyasha Matonda said: “We are excited to have Vaka as our official agents in the United Kingdom and with Willdale Bricks you will build to last.”
Zimtile Sales and Marketing Manager Sakhile Khumalo said: “This partnership is not only a win between Vaka and Zimtile but also for the local and diaspora customers who in the past have been short changed by relatives back home. We are their trusted partners.”
“This is exciting news for us as a company in our vision to create a one stop shop for everything to do with construction for Zimbabweans in the diaspora. Vaka is helping many Zimbabweans in the diaspora and at home to build,” said Kundoro.
According to Kondoro, it has been a busy month for Vaka as they have also become the official agent Duraroof, suppliers of various roofing materials including chromadek, Duratiles and many more.
This includes Chapeta Water, a borehole drilling and installation Company. Vaka has also partnered with Mr Maplanka, a timber supplier and Duraworld, a leading durawall products manufacturer.
Vaka have recently started offering the same services to Zimbabweans at home where they can order and pay for their products online.
