FC PLATINUM coach Norman Mapeza has said they have to collect maximum points against ZPC Kariba in a league match on Saturday if they are to continue entertaining hopes of a top four finish.
The platinum miners are just a point below Highlanders who currently occupy number four.
They welcome ZPC Kariba who have emerged as serious contenders for the league title, a situation that could complicate their day on Saturday.
“It would be good for us if we finish the season in the top-four. That is our aim and we work for it in every game we play,” Mapeza said.
“We are targeting three points against ZPC Kariba. But it will not be easy because they are playing for the league title. We just have to keep on focusing on this game.”
FC Platinum go into this match on a high after booking a Chibuku Super Cup final berth following a 1-0 win over Black Rhinos last Saturday.
But Mapeza said that victory is now water under the bridge.
“That was a Cup game and is totally different from this league game. We have to forget about that and put all our attention on this upcoming game,” he said.
