ZIMDANCEHALL ace, Winky D backed by his vibrant Vigilance Band will be headlining the second edition of the Joburg Shutdown in South Africa on December 4.
The talented musician will share the stage with renowned South African multi-award-winning musician, Busiswa and Paddy Watts supported by Fayth M and Elcee Gweja.
This will be the second time the Zimdancehall star will grace the Joburg Shutdown after he serenaded revellers alongside amapiano queen, Sha Sha in 2020 at the inaugural event.
The concert, organised by Munya Touch, will be held at The Link in Midrand.
Pre-sold tickets are going for R250 (general entrance), R500 (VIP), and R100 (kids) with another R50 fee added for tickets purchased at the gate.
In an interview with NewZimbabwe.com, the organiser, Munya Touch said the annual Joburg Shutdown is a time for Zimbabweans living in South Africa to connect in sharing their love for music.
“We select the artists that are celebrated in Zimbabwe. We also get to include South African artists, as they have a following from other African nationals,” he said.
“The aim of the event is to unite Africans through entertainment. Also, we hardly have big Zim events in South Africa, so we are creating a platform that also unites Zimbabweans.”
