THE Young Warriors have gone in their final stage of preparations for the Cosafa Under-20 Cup to be held in Lesotho early next month.
Jairos Tapera’s boys have been camped in Zvishavane for the past two weeks and are expected to leave for Maseru on Monday.
The tournament kicks off on 3 December and ends on the 14th of the same month. After releasing a few players to turn out for their clubs in last weekend’s league matches, full training resumed on Tuesday with a full complement of the 30 players in camp.
The players would be trimmed to 18 who will travel to Lesotho.
“We resumed full training (on Tuesday) and the boys are looking sharp,” Tapera said.
“Walter (Musona) and Pritchard (Mphelele) received some knocks while playing for their clubs but it is not something too serious. We hope they will be fully fit before Friday where we will wrap up preparations.”
Some of the players who had been released to do duty for their clubs include Musona’s teammates Wisdom Mutasa, Albert Kusemwa and goalkeeper Donovan Benard.
The Caps United duo of Ronald Pfumbidzai and Tinotenda Muskwe also returned but without any injuries.
