POLICE in Harare have arrested a female ZBC radio Zimbabwe presenter on allegations she extorted popular cleric, T Freddy.

Police sources said the presenter, whose identity has not been divulged to NewZimbabwe.com, has been extorting the Glenview-based flamboyant cleric for a full year.

Sources said the presenter has of late been demanding US$15 000 from the charismatic preacher.

“The prophet tried to negotiate the figure down to 12000 and she then raised the figure to US$200 000,” a source said.

The prophet then offered Mercedes Benz and she accepted it.

After getting the car he then made another demand of US$15 000.

Freddy then reported the case leading to her arrest.

Police were yet to officially comment on the matter.
