Zifa Village inspection Wednesday

FOOTBALL stakeholders fraternity will on Wednesday be given a chance to assess progress made so far by the country’s football regulatory body the Zimbabwe Football Association at it new home which is under construction in Mount Hampden.
ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela told NewZimbabwe.com in Harare, Tuesday that the invitation of football stakeholders including members of the public was part of his organization’s efforts to involve the public in football and administration of resources which are being channelled into the project.
“Participates will be given the chance to view and tour all the areas including the accommodation rooms, and lodges. They will also have the chance to assess the progress made on the construction of the artificial turf,” said Gwesela.
“Fans are also welcome to grace the tour. We value the fans as they are twelfth player of football hence their invitation to the event. We have also invited ZIFA board members, PSL club representatives and tertiary education officials.2
Zifa have completed the refurbishment of the Zifa Village with the rehabilitation of camping facilities and the construction of a conference centre.
Gwesela said stakeholders will also get a chance of inspecting the Hall of Fame at the village.
At the village ZIFA has finished the construction of 35 lodges which are being used by members of the national when they are in camp. The lodges are also being used by other clubs in the Premier Soccer League especially those which are based from outside Harare.Advertisement
