ZIMBABWE will touch down in Dhaka on Nov 2 to play a limited-overs series, Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced.
The tourists will lock horns with the Tigers in three ODIs and two Twenty20s during the two-week tour.
BCB announced the itinerary in a media statement on Wednesday night.
Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium will host all the matches.
Zimbabwe are scheduled to play a warmup on Nov 5 at Fatullah. The ODIs will be played on Nov 7, 9 and 11 before the T20s, on Nov 13 and 15.
All the matches will be day-night encounters.
The series has been arranged as an alternative to Australia’s two-Test tour that was suspended over security concerns at the start of this month.
BCB proposed a two-phase Zimbabwe tour, which was originally scheduled for January, and finalised it on the sidelines of Dubai’s ICC meeting earlier this month.
BCB made the move to utilise the gap left by Australia’s postponement by playing the limited-overs series now, leaving the Tests for the last phase in January.Advertisement
