DYNAMOS full back Ocean Mushure stole the show once again, scoring the winner in an exhilarating Cosafa Castle Cup final, as Zimbabwe beat neighbours Zambia 3- 1 to win a record fifth title on Sunday.
Mushure, who is the Dynamos skipper, has been a revelation at this tournament where he has been scoring from set pieces, leaving neutrals nodding in agreement.
Reports even suggest he is now on the radar of several South African clubs who are interested in his service.
Mushure scored his third goal of the tournament at the death, profiting from a brilliant pass by Talent Chawapiwa one of the stars of this tournament.
Knox Mutizwa, who scored a hat trick against Lesotho, had thrust the Warriors into the lead on 22 minutes. Chawapiwa then doubled the lead before Mushure sew up the contest with the third goal, condemning Zambia to a 3-1 defeat.
Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa led Zimbabwe to a Cosafa Cup triumph on home soil way back in 2009 against the same opponents. And on Sunday he repeated the feat at a neutral venue.
The victory once again cemented Chidzambwa as a man for the big occasion, having led Zimbabwe to their maiden Nations Cup final appearance after two decades of failing at the last hurdle.Advertisement
