ZITF: 95pc exhibition space taken up

SOME 465 exhibitors are expected to at this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) with 95 percent of the exhibition space already taken up, organisers revealed this week.
The international trade showcase kicks off in Bulawayo on Tuesday next week and will be officially opened by Malawi President Joyce Banda.
ZITF Company chairman Bekithemba Nkomo said most of the exhibition space had already been taken up.
“We are in the final stages of selling exhibition space as 95 percent space has been taken and we hope to sell the remaining five percent before the exhibition starts,” he said.
“The exhibition space sold so far translates to 49 000square metres to be occupied by 465 direct exhibitors, compared to last year’s 94 percent.”
One of the key highlights of the 54th edition of the international exhibition will be the one-day Zimbabwe International Business Conference to be addressed by Vice President Joice Mujuru.
“We expect over 250 delegates to attend the international business conference on Wednesday 24 April. The key note speaker is Vice President Mujuru who will deliver an address on Zimbabwe on a new tidal wave of socio-economic transformation and sustainable development in the modern era,” said Nkomo.
Other activities lined up include the annual ZITF Golf Challenge set for Thursday at the Bulawayo Golf Club, the Zimbabwe Water Infrastructure Summit, as well as the Zimbabwe/South Africa Investment Summit organised by the Ministry of Economic Planning.
Other concurrent events include are sector-specific exhibitions such as A’Sambeni Africa Tourism and Travel Expo, Scholastica, Pakprint and Ultim8Home.Advertisement
