THE Castle Lager Premiership match between ZPC Kariba and army side Black Rhinos has been moved to Harare at Gwanzura because Nyamhunga Stadium is not yet ready to host PSL matches.
Kenny Ndebele, the PSL chief executive said further touch-ups were needed before ZPC Kariba can use the stadium.
The PSL had said on Tuesday Nyamhunga Stadium would be ready by the weekend after the Zifa grounds committee visited the stadium on Tuesday to check on its progress.
“The match will be played at Gwanzura. There are still a few things that have to be finalized before Nyamhunga Stadium can be used,” said Ndebele without elaborating.
The Premier Soccer League and the Zifa grounds committee had last year condemned the stadium on the grounds that it did not meet their standards.
ZPC Kariba gained promotion into the elite league last year.
The 8,000-seater stadium was initially supposed to be ready by mid-April, but the delivery date was pushed back several times owing to delays.
This saw ZPC Kariba switching to Gwanzura Stadium which they have been using as their home ground since the start of the campaign.
