ZSE rebounds to close week in the black

THE industrial index on Friday gained 0.68 points to close the week in the black at 170.34 points on the back of positive trades recorded in most of the heavyweight counters.
During the week, the benchmark index recovered 5.55 points after a poor run for the preceding two weeks. Turnover for the week fell by 54 percent to $4.9 million compared to the $10.5 million recorded in the previous week.
On Friday, gains were recorded in Seed Co which added 5.51 cents to close at 75.51 cents, OK Zimbabwe which rose by a cent to close at 20 cents. Other gains were in Pearl Properties, 0.10 cents to 2.75 cents, Innscor 0.50 cents to 62.50 cents and Meikles 0.10 cents to 18.60 cents.
Losses were recorded in ABC which shed five cents to close at 70 cents, Truworths which shed 1.99 cents to close at 1.50 cents while Afdis weakened by 2.50 cents  to close at 32.50 cents.
Other losses were recorded in Hippo at 0.50 cents to 61 cents and beverage giant, Delta which dropped 0.06 cents to 111 cents.
The resources index ended Friday’s trades unchanged at 29.88 points. Week on week, the index added 1.06 points on the back of positive trades in Bindura and Hwange.Advertisement
