Confirmed Covid-19 cases in Zimbabwe rise to 29

ZIMBABWE’S confirmed Covid-19 cases have risen to 29.

This is according to the latest report on the pandemic by the Ministry of Health and Child Care.

“The Ministry would like to report that of the 101 PCR tests done in Bulawayo on the 22nd of April 2020, one was positive for Covid-19.

“Today, a total of 460 tests were done as detailed in table 1 below, giving a total of 5 450 screening and diagnostic tests done to date,” said the ministry.

At 12 confrimed cases in total, Harare remains the epicentre of the pandemic in the country, followed by Bulawayo which has 11.

Matabeleland North, which was first to record a case in the country, still has one, while Mashonaland East and West have 4 and 1 respectively.
